B. Innafushi Sarahahdhu

Declared a protected area on 2 November 2023, Innafushi Region lies east-north of Fulhadhoo and includes a picturesque island and surrounding sandbanks embraced by the sea. To the east of this region lies the Corbin Wreck Protected Area, adding a touch of maritime history to its natural charm.

Innafushi Island serves as an important breeding ground for protected bird species in the Maldives. The nearby sandbanks provide safe resting and nesting sites, where seabirds gather to lay their eggs and raise their young.

Beneath the surface, the surrounding waters are rich with corals and diverse fish species, making Innafushi a vibrant ecosystem both above and below the waves.
