B.Dharavandhoo Thila

Declared a protected area on 2 November 2023, Dharavandhoo Thila lies on the western side of Dharavandhoo Island and is celebrated for its stunning natural formation and rich marine biodiversity.

This underwater pinnacle is home to a wide variety of corals and reef fish, making it one of the most popular dive sites in the region. Divers are often captivated by the vibrant marine life and the thriving coral gardens that blanket the reef.

A highlight of Dharavandhoo Thila is its manta ray “cleaning station”, where these majestic creatures glide gracefully as smaller fish remove parasites from their bodies — a fascinating and unforgettable underwater encounter.
