Kamadhoo Island is situated in the southern part of Baa Atoll, approximately 140 kilometers northwest of Malé. The island’s residents are primarily engaged in fishing, small businesses, and tourism-related services, fostering a close-knit community enriched by traditional cultural practices such as Bandiya and Boduberu.

Kamadhoo is also known for its beautiful beaches, which attract a growing number of visitors each year, supported by the steadily increasing number of guesthouses and tourism facilities on the island.
